Most often I find it very difficult to convey what my work is truly about because it changes like the Oklahoma wind. As an artist, I communicate my thoughts, experiences, and ideals through a wide variety of mediums. Working primarily in three-dimensional objects, I create sculptural vessels, copper and enameled wall hangings and sculptural lighting, along with figurative sculpture. I develop work that is meaningful to me. The pieces I create become like shrines to my past helping me to deal with issues, that if spoken of are sometimes too painful or leave me feeling too vulnerable. My work marks good and bad moments in my life … silently imparting the anecdotes of trophies and scars in my life.
